The household is growing

Someone new has the keys…

The Duchess has hired help for the library. He arrives with the Coffee & Tea Edition in December. Gilda refuses to say more.

Meet Earl

Earl is the Duchess's butler and keeper of the library. He looks about forty and has kept books for centuries. Gilda piles them; Earl puts them back in order. Neither will ever win.

Earl, darling, the tea. And don't be so grey about it.

The third door

Something sweet is rising in the kitchen…

The library smells of cinnamon lately. The Duchess denies everything.

Duchess Gilda
If there's icing on my books, someone is leaving.
I've counted the biscuits, Your Grace. Twice.
